Township of Langley Plowing: Plan the Entrance and the Snow Pile
Coordinate private plow access, driveway windrows, turning space and snow storage alongside the Township road-priority system.

TOWNSHIP OF LANGLEY / PROPERTY PLANNING

A private plow plan should show two movements: how vehicles will reach the property and where displaced snow will be placed. Looking only at the area to be cleared misses the entrance, turning space and storage decisions that shape the job.

The Township services roads by priority and can redirect resources to higher-priority routes when conditions worsen. That is not a completion schedule for a private lot. Use the official Township route information for context, then agree the separate private service scope and access arrangements.
Take a wide view showing the driveway mouth, sidewalk, curbs and nearby obstacles before snow arrives. Identify the private boundary on the plan and avoid instructions that imply permission to work on a public road. Explain which vehicle movements the entrance must support, including deliveries or a larger service vehicle where applicable.
An entrance that was open earlier may need attention again after nearby road work or additional accumulation. Agree how a new obstruction is reported and who can authorize a return assessment. Do not describe one visit as permanently completing access for the event. The site contact should know the difference between a completed pass and a newly reported condition.

Mark storage areas and the route from each clearing zone to the pile. Review sight lines, drainage, doors, walkways and the space needed for turning. Ask how the plan changes as piles grow. If hauling or relocation may be required, identify the trigger and approval process rather than assuming unlimited storage fits into the original clearing allowance.
The Township says cleared snow must remain on the property rather than being pushed onto roadways. Make the storage instruction visible to every operator. A convenient push direction is not enough if it puts material into a road or blocks a pedestrian connection. Review uncertain boundaries with the property contact before work starts.
Give the provider widths, grades, overhead clearance and turning constraints. A broad parking area can still have an entrance or pinch point that limits the machine. Identify where a truck can work, where a smaller unit is needed and where a hand crew finishes the connection. Describe the intended outcome without specifying an unreviewed machine solely from a photograph.
Leave a handover with completed zones, pile locations, blocked areas and any changed access instructions. Use dated photos where appropriate and keep private codes within the assigned team. For a local operational enquiry, send PlowWow the address, site map and access photographs; confirm availability and the actual work in writing.
